About me
I was born in Zambia and named after Zola Budd, a South African runner,
who was known for running barefoot. At the age of 5 my father moved us
back to England to be with the rest of his family.
Starting school in England, I quickly noticed that I was different and was
treated differently by some, probably because I didn’t look like them.
This was the start of my questioning everything and wanting to gain more understanding about people. We are all so complex.

My father was a strong role model who helped me build my resilience by
always reminding me to be proud of who I am and to stand up for myself
and my beliefs.

As an old soul I quickly understood that people’s behaviour is based upon
their own beliefs, values, emotions and education regardless of source,
home, school, friends, or life experiences.

My father passed away when I was 10yrs old, a huge part of me was lost
and my world turned upside down. My mother proved herself to be an
amazing lady, full of strength just as my dad was and she handled being
the single parent to me and my younger sister with efficiency and dignity,
passing all those qualities onto her children. I’m very proud and grateful
for the way she managed to do that on her own.

Losing dad at 10 had a massive impact on me, it shaped a lot of my teenage years, my choices, actions and my behaviour. I learnt to be completely responsible and accountable for my (sometimes unwise) decisions. My teenage years were a rollercoaster as well as a blast, along with many lessons.
I have learnt to have no regrets in life, I am grateful for the good, the bad and the ugly. It’s all part of my life’s journey and each bit has played a part in forming and shaping who I am and I will continue to grow and evolve! I believe that is why we are all really here. (Something for me to share in a book one day maybe?)

So what led me to my current work? 16 years ago I joined the corporate world. Being driven and dedicated I worked hard and progressed up to management. I would set myself personal career goals and once achieved I would be ready for the next challenge.

When my first child was 2 years old, I realised my life had become out of balance in a few areas, the things I thought brought me satisfaction, no longer did.
I was having what most call an awakening, seeking greater purpose in life and in what I do, what I contribute to the world and society. So I started my journey of real self-discovery. I needed to know who I was right now. I asked myself questions like: What did I need, what did I want, what required removing from my life, what needed changing, what needed healing or addressing and most importantly where did I need more balance , e.g. was I truly honouring my soul?

I found an amazing therapist with a varied and holistic background together we brought all these things back into sync and balance holistically, which means I was helped to look at myself as a whole mind, body, spirit and soul. By the second session it was very clear to me that I needed to change my occupation.

I wanted my life’s work to feel rewarding. I want to help people help themselves. Transforming, healing and evolving starts from the inside out. I am eclectic in how I work and the service I offer, I am also an empath and intuitive who can feel and understand my client’s needs. My humble beginnings have created an enthusiasm for life and a desire to be the perfect companion adept at helping others to create and nurture their own personal development.
